Blurb (from Goodreads):
Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they are more than you dream.
As an air Elemental, 17-year-old Emily Morgan doesn’t have much power. That’s okay—she knows what happens to kids who do.
Like Michael Merrick. He’s an earth Elemental, one with enough power to level cities. Which makes him sexy. Dangerous. And completely off limits. At least according to Emily’s family.
But her summer job puts her in close contact with Michael, and neither of them can help the attraction they feel. When forces of nature like theirs collide, one misstep could get someone killed. Because Emily’s family doesn’t just want her to stay away from him.
They want him dead.

Michael has control of the element of earth, while Emily has control of the element of wind.
Michael is very powerful though, and some kind of deal has been made between the families with elemental powers, that he will behave himself or he will be killed – mainly because they are afraid of him.
Emily has just started a new job, when Michael comes in. At first she thinks that he’s there to cause trouble, but when it becomes clear that he’s not, they form a bond, a bond that later saves Michael’s life when Emily’s brother and his gang jump him in a deserted parking lot.
This was an interesting short story. There wasn’t really enough to really get to know the characters, but it does show a brief glimpse into the world of the elementals, and gives an idea of what to expect from the rest of the series.
Unfortunately, I am annoyed that it doesn’t have an ending! It just cuts off midway through, and the next book doesn’t focus on these characters! I want to know what happens to Michael and Emily!
Overall; an interesting start, but I wanted an end!
5 out of 10.
